The Compassionate Friends - Jackson, MS, Chapter Home Page
The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive. We are a national self help organization with about 600 chapters. The Jackson, Mississippi, Chapter of the The Compassionate Friends meets at 7:00 pm on the second Tuesday of every month. Location: Fondren Presbyterian Church in the fellowship hall. 3220 Old Canton Road Jackson, Mississippi Our monthly meetings offer a safe place for bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings to meet and talk freely about your child and your grief issues. No one is required to speak, but non-judgemental listening is expected. The Compassionate Friends charge no dues or fees of any kind, nor do we have any religious affiliation. Persons of all faiths (or no faith), creeds and races are welcome. We are available to any family member who has had a child die from any cause, at any age. The Jackson Chapter produces a free monthly newsletter and also maintains a lending library of grief related books and materials available to all members to share.
